one dime.

Miss Erika Davies is familiar to San Diego music fans for her devotion to the old-timey ballad and her frequent performances at Lestat's West. Visit her MySpace page to learn more.

i wish i had a dime
to toss
roll and roll
all the way to your toes
then
your eyes would open and truly see
why i've stitched myself inside your heart
why
you've left the string, attached
like this fine wine, you say we are
much better, put on the shelf
than to drink up
i stop a train on its tracks
bring tears to the eye
you're shy
one dime
